What’s your big brand idea?

Without understanding the idea behind your brand and why it exists among a sea of others, you may be in for stormy weather. You certainly can’t convey what makes your particular product, service or skill special without that insight.

Whether it's high-tech aeronautical engineering, bespoke Italian tailoring or glow-in-the-dark toothpaste – it’s essential to communicate the feeling of what your brand ‘does’ effectively.

This is what I do. I work with art directors, design teams and project managers to help brands speak clearly and passionately to people around the world. I’m a copywriter. Language is the tool I use to deliver your vision to others.

It was a privilege to work on this crucial project, a roadmap for transforming our world. In 2015, the United Nations first outlined their 17 global goals for ending poverty, fighting inequality and tackling climate change by 2030. Each of these complex issues, and lofty ambitions, needed to be clearly communicated while still inspiring action.

In the race to roll out 5G, the challenge is to communicate what it will mean across industries. I worked on several large Ericsson projects for 5G and AI, among others, to convey the transformative nature of these ground-breaking technologies.

Writing for one of Europe’s largest fintech businesses consisted of creating articles about merchants and their experiences with iZettle. This stylish magazine, and the diversity of its participants, helped highlight the practical advantages of their payment system for start-ups.

As Sweden’s largest telecom operator, Telia produces a substantial amount of content for their services. I worked on various communication assignments, including their CDN, tracking asset, and connected vehicle offerings, for both the website and as standalone promotional materials.

Sometimes my job consists of refining language in an already strong campaign or idea. The WWF is active in innumerable environmental projects and is an essential positive force for our planet. This one involved the preservation of the Baltic Sea.

Finding the unique character and spirit in any organisation is the primary goal when creating the tonality of their communication. A small, family-run operation, Get Raw has fantastic products and wanted to shout it from the rooftops.

Copywriting for one of Sweden’s most prestigious academic institutions required the ability to write on technical subjects while maintaining an approachable simplicity. The work reflects the ethos and pedigree of the university, hopefully inspiring a new generation of international students and innovators.

My contributions to this well-known Swedish cosmetics company began with conceptualising and communicating dozens of brands with art directors and marketing managers. After a year, I was promoted to global senior copywriter. This new role focused on higher-level brand work together with the creative director and brand communication team.

I was fortunate to work with British design legend Michael Wolff, trying to restore faith and momentum in the badly shaken post-2008 financial sector. Our focus was on reviving the Citi brand – helping them clarify and shape where they wanted to be in the future.
